I am happy to launch official Website of Directorate of Prisons & Correctional Administration under Home Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Our main objective of prisons is to bring the offenders back to the mainstream of the society. Though this department is in infant stage in comparison to other states in India, but still trying to do our best in every field, with limited resources & manpower. Over the years IT has become a paramount importance in the society in every field. Thus, a need was felt to adopt a holistic approach to address the requirements of effective prison administration across the state through IT while bringing in efficiency and transparency. I am confident that launching of Website will usher a fresh era of development and benefit each & everyone.

I think it’s a starter, and will go a long way in the days to come and hope through this website visitors will able to know about this Department more & more at a glance. Let us make Arunachal Prisons one of the best in the country.
